These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ReadEase browser extension and the readease.app website (together, the "Service"). By installing or using ReadEase, you agree to these Terms.

Using the Service

ReadEase is provided free of charge for personal and professional use. You may install and use ReadEase on any browser and device you control, subject to these Terms and the Chrome Web Store's own policies.

License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use ReadEase for its intended purpose: adjusting the visual presentation and audio narration of webpages you view in your browser.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify ReadEase except as permitted by open-source licensing, if applicable
• Use ReadEase to violate any applicable law or the rights of any third party
• Attempt to interfere with the Service's normal operation or security

No warranty

ReadEase is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that ReadEase will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every website, and reading/accessibility features (including Bionic Reading and Read Aloud) may not produce the same result on every page or for every reader.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReadEase and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of ReadEase at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes through the Chrome Web Store listing or this website.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of ReadEase after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
